Karen Pflug, CEO of Ikano Insight (pictured on the left), has accepted a new assignment as Ingka Group’s Chief Sustainability Officer, as of 1st August 2021, and will therefore leave her position at the end of July.
At the same time, we are pleased to communicate that Teresa Booth (pictured on the right), currently Director of Client Services and Expansion at Ikano Insight, will assume the role of acting CEO at Ikano Insight as of 1st of August, 2021.
“Karen has always had a relentless drive for quality and an ability to convey Ikano Insight’s offer simply and clearly to clients – it has been a pleasure working with her and I have no doubt that she will succeed in her new challenge. Looking ahead, I am convinced that Teresa, with her strong focus and proven business expertise, will skilfully lead Ikano Insight as they continue to grow and expand their data and analytics services.” shares Jesper Schmidt, Chair of the Ikano Insight Board.
Karen says, “I have thoroughly enjoyed working with everyone at Ikano Insight over the last 2 years, I’ve learnt a lot about the power of data and met many incredible people across Ikano. It’s therefore with mixed emotions that I step into my new assignment at Ingka Group. Everyone at Ikano Insight should be very proud of what we have achieved together. I know that the business will continue to go from strength to strength in the hands of our senior management team led by Teresa.
Lars Thorsén, CEO of Ikano Group, concludes:
“She is a fantastic communicator and we will miss her energy and can-do spirit. I wish her the best of success. In her place, we are fortunate to have Teresa, who has worked closely with Karen over the past couple of years and shown impressive results in setting up the platform for growth throughout IKEA SEAMEX”.
Teresa joined Ikano in 2005, holding a number of strategic management positions at Ikano Bank and Ikano Insight before taking on her current role as Director of Client Services and Expansion.
“Data is increasingly at the heart of every aspect of our lives and the need for businesses to truly understand the stories behind their data has never been more important. We have an exceptionally talented team that can enable clients to do this and to move from insight to action. I look forward to working with them to continue to service both existing and new clients on their quest to be more data driven.”
